One thing some of the newer fans need to remember is back in the day if you had 3 or 4 really good matches on a card it was considered a good ppv, and in between them was matches like this that settled the crowd or did different things, comic relief, squash matches whatever and then onto the serious stuff.
The way aew cards are booked is still strange to me, match after match with everyone doing similar stuff and the crowd getting exhausted easily until the main event, so even though this match isn’t the great it has it’s place in the grand scheme of things, like I said 3 good matches I’d be happy, and we’ve already had one
