>>5940933>7 stars on a 5 point scaleNo, that's still only 5 stars, just with added emphasis. Anything over 5 stars is just fan wanking. Not one match rated at over 5 stars is better than Bret-Austin (WM13), Owen-Bret (SS), or the Flair-Steamboat trilogy anyway. That's how you know the scale is so broken now.
I won't even get into how so many amazing matches in the 80s and 90s only got 4.5 stars but nowadays 4.5 stars are handed out to just an average 3 star match if Uncle Dave's buddies or favorites are involved. For example, Owen Hart vs British Bulldog for the European title on Raw in March of 1997 is an amazing match and rightly earned 4.5 stars, which was rare at the time. There were 4 matches rated at 4.5 stars or higher from Double or Nothing. FOUR. The anarchy in the arena disaster was even given 5 stars. You really want to convince me that that trash was as great as Bret-Austin at WM13? We still talk about that match to this day.
