Because it didn't become noticeable until he got on the ring apron to do a Phenomenal Forearm and his face was covered in blood. Then he disappeared and they did went to the finish. He must have gotten the injury when him, Finn and Liv all did their dives to the outside onto their opponents. Edge was under AJ for his dive to the outside. Not sure if he clashed heads there, but when he dives on Edge he gets up and it sort of looks like he has swelling on his head but no blood.
