Mid 80's NWA, the complete shows taped direct from tv back in the day. Everyone is there, their young, and they are wrestling each other in studio to set up big matches at the arena shows. Very comfy.

Great Gama is WAY MORE IMPORTANT than Andre.

I can definitely getting on board with going even deeper into history for the core with Riki and Thesz over Inoki and Sammartino.

Gama still takes the fourth spot though. I get that he was far older school to the point of not having any recordings of his bouts, but the dude carried the entire global industry on his back for over 50 years.

Plus I have been thinking bout what makes the matches of today seem very unimportant. Like the Cody/Seth was one of the few matches that felt like a match that would be in a co-main event in a PPV in back of the days of wrestling. There was build up and somewhat of a story that was told in the ring. And with the bruise it added a cherry on top of this pro wrestling sundae. But what I am getting at is that the younger wrestlers of today are more concerned about hitting their spots, looking good for gifs to be used on Twitter, and impressing Daddy Meltzer rather than just putting on a good match. Especially stinkers like Ricochet/Ospery, where it felt like I am watching a Power Rangers episode. The kids need to watch the older tapes to understand story telling and selling.

If you like the 90's Jr. style or shoot style (or both!) you really need to check out Minoru Tanaka vs. Takehiro Murahama from 20.04.2001. It morphs from mat-heavy shoot style into blazing-fast Jr. action. Really bizarre structure but it definitely works. Tanaka was one of the best of his time, I think he's underrated in terms of how often he's brought up.

I think that the "mount rushmore" thing is used incorrectly. Mount rushmores faces were chose for a specific reason. They were the 4 presidents that the united states expanded its territory under. Its not just "heres the 4 best presidents" ; I think the same standard should be used to choose a mount Rushmore of prowresting

Inoki took great care of the tree but it was Rikidozan the one who planted it in the first place. Also, let's not forget that Baba was always head to head with Inoki
