He can still be a face. But before the second rematch, lose the Codyvator and the entourage and the long entrances for a while. No big coats either, come out ready to fight instantly. And then he can get the win when he feels like he's reinvented himself and shed the dead weight. Everyone looks better. Cody is fixed because he would have left the showbiz shit behind, which is part of why everyone was mad at him. 6 months later at Revolution or some shit, he could have brought all the fancy gear and entrances back and people would have liked it then. The tag I think is easy enough to at least make it less stupid.
Have Cody say Pac helped him out, and make Andrade and Malakai look more like people that don't want to be working together but are using the other as a way to get at the guy they're after, except Pac ends up getting black and Cody Andrade. Then they move into those feuds smoothly. Anyway, that's just my take on it, I feel like it was SO close to being a good feud that would have redeemed Cody, but he just refused to do the last step, actually listen to the fans.
