Kenny Omega is the best champ AEW has had and the best wrestler of 2021. It's not rose-color glasses for most now, it's sunk-cost fallacy where they invested so much into being Kenny fans and defending him they don't want to accept he sucked in AEW. Go search the catalogue, there were fanboys spamming that he was going to have a KINO REDEMPTION RUN and become the Cleaner again ever since AEW went on tv and everyone saw he wasn't as good. That never happened so they were forced to pretend everything he was doing was just as good as ever and that his matches are so great even though they mostly just consist of movez now, and his promos are clearly terrible and he does gay shit like baby oil matches and simulated 69's with old men. He had his championship run and nothing happened. Wrestling didn't change, he didn't become a huge star, AEW didn't become a big thing, it was nothing, and instead of saying okay, something need to change, fans just supported Omega flopping so he doubled down on the comedy and bullshit and never improved to reach his potential.

The segments were funny due to him acting like a retard. Reigns may be boring at times, but he's a fucking star who looks and carries himself like one, meanwhile Kenny was fucking around with Space Jam basketball and looking like a sex offender

I was told he was the world's best wrestler. So I invested time in aew and watched him. I've never found more unfunny people than Kenny and the bucks. It's not even slightly amusing. Omega is fucking trash, it's just that Hangman has shown that it could easily get worse. At least Omega felt like an upper midcard jobber. Oemga had character, it's just a really gay & silly character. Hangman just came off as some bland random workrate indie slob. A lot of cultists are pretending his title reign was great and begging for him back even though it was shit. He was carried by Christian and Bryan in his only good matches and his promos were cringe shit and he was averaging 700k a show before Danielson and Punk arrived.
