I think it would have made more sense if when Tanahashi came out, he looked like he was ready to go, rather than just in his normal clothes. Fans that don't know Tanahashi would have thought "damn, this guy looks cool". The same applies to when Jeff Cobb & Great O'Khan came out. Everyone knows what Jeff Cobb's attire is and he had it on anyway, but Great O'Khan just looks like a CAW when he doesn't have his awesome entrance gear on.
Fast forward to this weeks Dynamite. You had Will Ospreay come out in normal clothes, whereas if he was ring ready, it would have been so much cooler. Toa Henare (while a complete anti-draw) looks a hell of a lot better when in his ring/entrance attire though I can't say much about the other two because I've never seen them. Granted, Ospreay is wrestling on Rampage, but still, there's a lot of people that don't watch that because of the shitty time.
All in all, if the guys are attacking AEW wrestlers and coming out using the ramp, they should be geared up and not looking like they just jumped the guard rail and all wearing generic black, it makes them all look the same and not have any personality.
