Not hating on Will. Hes my guy but jesus he got completely outshined by Jay. No one is talking about Will at all. At one point Billy Goat was the talk of NJPW. All of a sudden Jay just comes back and completely takes over as the top gaijin.

I like Ospreay. I was initially pretty disappointed with his switch to Heavyweight, but a year ago he finally got a clue and become a proper Heavyweight instead of a Junior Heavyweight playing one.

Jay White's matches are more exciting to me as well, though. Not just in how he entertains in the ring with his antics but his sequences are funner to watch. I like shit like spanish flies and hidden blades but basically everything else Ospreay does is cringe.
Just look at how the crowd always pops for every single Blade Runner attempt. It's not just about the finisher being protected, it's about the match being built to it.

It's hard to argue that Ospreay is in some kind of bad spot. He's won that belt and he never lost, he had to vacate it. Jay's my favorite wrestler for the record, just saying that Ospreay is also awesome and is in no way in a diminished role.

That Dominion main event reminded me why I got into Jay White in the first place. The guy is simply on another level from anyone else. I went in thinking that Okada was definitely retaining to slowly being turned around to the point that there was very little surprise when Jay got the three count. That was solely done with the in match work and story telling. I saw almost zero build to the match and was enthralled by it.

That's not very fair, as they weren't on equal footing. Jay had been placed in a much higher place to shine, so the fact that he's done so really isn't crazy.
That said, while I like Ospreay, and on paper his ceiling is pretty much limitless, he doesn't have IT, at least not in the same way Jay does.
