>>6031392My fix would be this:
AEW is still decent but its gone downhill a lot, bloated roster has made it messy on who is actually a top guy anymore, there used to be a sort of hierarchy you could put together in your head of who was the strongest power level. Moxley>Omega>Jericho>Pac>Cody>Hangman etc.Now i can almost guess who will win based on their debut status. Did Danileson just come to AEW? well better keep him strong but not strong enough to win the title, just beat everyone who isnt a champ. Ruby Soho came in hot but she is WWE so better keep her mild warm going over the midcard and losing anything significant until the crowd turns on her. it goes on and on with them all and all it does is kill the midcard because the debuts will bulldoze them on their way to a title they arent touching, which in turn buries the debuting star. WWE had the same problem with NXT call-ups and the only ones that mattered only did because they came in to take titles and beat top guys.
If they cant rely on the name value of a debut then they need their own developmental brand. Tony bought the perfect company to deal with this problem, ROH needs to be utilised. if he cant get a TV slot for it Anywhere then stream it or heavily feature them on rampage
roll it back to the basics, who are the AEW originals, the guys who held it up during the pandemic or earned their spot and include those who people want to see like Miro, Hook etc.
Instead of trying to get everyone over and end up doing the same 50/50 shit, Send anyone who doesnt fit that mold to ROH, in fact take any ex WWE guys starting at Adam Cole and send them to ROH. one big thing that is noticeable is TK loves his NXT shitters who came up in ROH, so send them back there and make Ring of Honor their own NXT. They can then earn their way into the main roster so when Kyle Oreilly is fighting for a number 1 contenders position in a main event then at least a couple people watching could buy him having a hope in hell of winning.
