Probably. But I could also genuinely see just Hangman VS Okada happening anyways. Meanwhile, Jay White gets the pin over someone in a Bullet Club VS Something else tag match.

Forbidden Door airs at like 5 AM on a Monday for them. It doesn't matter that much. The people that are dedicated enough to watch this aren't gonna have CM Punk make too much a difference.

Zero story build up, missing wrestlers, hardly no promo. I get it, wow this wrestler vs that wrestler would be a good talent match. But they coulda went all out with it and made it a huge mania type of event

First off, this is a cross-promotion show with New Japan that is gonna have a fuckload of multimen so that the New Japan guys don't job to trannies. It's never gonna be anywhere near the "dream card" scenario all the people want because Gedo rightfully knows he needs to protect his guys.

With that said, I think the biggest problem is that they probably did this show very ramshackle. Like, as soon as Tony was able to contact Gedo and reach an agreement, they probably tried getting a date for the show as soon as possible from that point forward. So that's why the schedules don't entirely mix and match and why there's a lot of oddities going on.

However, they still have two weeks to go full hype mode on it. I think there's a chance this ends up looking good and being built decently.
