Which he doesn't care about because it would rebound. Vince IS the WWE for all intents and purposes. His death is listed as a risk case in official stock documents. He has all of the power and control. Theres nothing he can't do. In fact he could technically privatise the company again if he wanted and nobody could do anything about it.

Literally the entire point of a board is to elect a CEO and be figureheads for shareholders to protect their investments and money. They can easily vote him out. Vince can just call an emergency meeting and elect a new board that will vote him back as CEO before his power is stripped fully. That would shake up the stock though and good chance people would pull out en masse.

You can very easily strip his power as CEO. Look at the former CEO of uber who got ousted. The majority votes just allows him to replace the board in an emergency and put people there that would keep him on. That's why you don't see many boards drop the CEO because that will just happen. It also gives off a bad public perception which they fear would tank stocks. Go do some reading son. Literally the boards only power is to decide on the executive hirings and firings of a company.

Any CEO can call an emergency meeting and use powers to terminate a board and replace them. That'll stay in place until shareholders can hold a new vote to determine a new elected board. This is even more likely when the CEO is also the chairman of the board and majority share (which Vince is). Firms can put forward their representative and elect new ones, but that person is not immune from being canned by the rest of the board.
