>>6092092At work I'm the only person without a tattoo. I watch as my coworkers play their tribal identity games and desperately seek to establish themselves as whatever fiction character their subconscious had decided to hide their insecurities behind. They speak the same, have the same mannerisms, they like the same music and movies. They are the same. They've added each other to their many social media apps. The other day after a worker finished getting his hit of dopamine for showing off his new "ink" the manager asked if I had any tattoos. "No", I muttered. "Why not anon, they're a great way to express yourself?". With a devious grin on my face I stood up straight and turned back around, with a whisper which could cut through diamonds I simply replied "When I wish to express myself, it will shake this reality to at its core". They were taken aback and as I absorbed their fear I belted out a Woody Woodpecker laugh before putting Joy Division back in my ears and resuming my human duties of cleaning the fry machine.
