I haven't watched WWE in years, including the last 4 or so years of his career, but my impression was always that Cesaro was a great guy that could be a big deal if booked correctly. Way more so than fags like Rusev.

His only problem was that he sucked on the mic, otherwise he had it all. He was good in the ring, he had charisma, he was pretty over with the crowd and he had a good physique.
But yeah he had himself a well deserved spot on the card, maybe he should've won a main event title at least once though.

On his own he was a solid upper midcard guy who imo could be a credible B ppv title challenger. Maybe a main eventer if he had learned to cut a solid promo. The Bar is probably my favorite tag team of the last 10 years but he was always just a great in ring worker that could never get the character work to take him to the next level

A bit overrated. He was used fine for the most part. Tag team staple, midcard title holder, occasional world challenger. That was good for him.
Not everybody needs to or should be champion. I know there's been lots of shitters who have been champion, so why not Cesaro? But giving a title to everybody when there's been worse guys isn't a solution and just degrades titles further.
