The whole point of Forbidden Door PPV was that it was a vanity project for Kenny Omega and the Bucks, nostalgia for their days wrestling in Japan where they first "made it big".

Sadly, Omega and the Bucks underestimated the amount of butt-hurt/anger they produced within NJPW especially when they left the company to create AEW, so now they are reaping what they sewed. Especially since A. Kenny hurt himself so badly he can't even wrestle at FB and B. the Bucks and their bullshit towards the far superior FTR has driven Tony Khan to ban them from being apart of the event to damage control their BS.
