Tony could book him to win or lose exactly like marks wanted, but if you are an unlikable son of a bitch, there's not much you can do and Cody is a fucking unlikable son of a bitch, so when he had carte blanche to do all his promos and feuds, the results were always stupid retarded. Nowadays he doesn't have that liberty. Everything he does has to go through Vince first. Even when it's something like "they allowed me to say whatever I wanted" is, after he gave Vince a small idea of what he would talk about in the promo. It also helps that WWE stops him from doing retarded shit in the ring that would bury himself. Only an idiot like him would think of that fire table spot, but Vince would never approve it.
