[13 / 2 / 12]
When I watch pro wrestling I NEVER find myself sucked into the action quite the same way I do when watching tv or movies.
It's hard to explain but I think you know what I mean. To use a zoomer term, other forms of fiction "hit different". During a promo and especially a match I never for one second am sucked into it the way I would be in a movie. In both scenarios I consciously know that it's "fake" yet during a show I can get excited about Breaking Bad as if the events are real. Can't say the same for any wrestling match. I can get mad at an annoying character on a sitcom and at the same time appreciate the actor's work, but in wrestling I can only appreciate a good heel, not actually feel mad at him.
Is this the same for all wrestling fans over the age of 12? Why is it like this? Is it because it is too obviously fake?
