Ton'y so shit. All he had to do was have things like battle royals, #1 contender matches or open challenges where Jungle Boy routinely takes or replaces Christian's spot. Start subtle with a kayfabe injury causing the first one and then make it obvious where Christian is winning matches but still being replaced for the younger guy.

I remember it. Christian was so close to winning that casino royale and then Jungle Boy got the better of him right at the end. then they both got attacked by Matt Hardy and formed a temporary truce. It's totally consistent for Christian to still be seething about what happened.
