>>6179249>posing as a NJPWchad>clearly not knowing shit about how NJPW makes money or what they'll be expecting to earn from Forbidden DoorThe show has already earned a million dollar gate and New Japan is going to get half. How many half a million dollar gates does New Japan regularly get these days? I doubt they've had a single one other than WK since COVID, but you could say that their normal smaller arena/Osaka Jo Hall/Ryugoku might draw 500,000 gates if they're completely sold out and packed, 0 COVID restrictions.
Considering the state of running shows in Japan for the past 2 years, a 500k gate (it will be less with taxes, overhead, etc but that is also the case with every show in Japan) is still a significant winfall. On top of that, the fact that NJPW will be getting PPV revenue at all (which is not something they regularly get), and that PPV revenue could also round off hundreds of thousands of dollars of revenue? This will probably be the most profitable show for NJPW aside from Wrestle Kingdom, and probably even more profitable than that unless COVID restrictions/cheering completely come back by January.
Anyway, either you're falseflagging as a NJPWchad or you didn't really think this one through. NJPW will be very easily satisfied by the outcome of this PPV because of the gate which is already secured. I'd argue AEW has more to worry about in terms of finances but again, Tony has a lot of money.
