>>6180266>>6180418The cm punk pipebomb promo got me back into watching, and got a ton of mainstream media attention on WWE, I remember Bill Simmons especially being all into it, and even forcing segments about it into PTI when he would fill in for Wilbon. I watched MitB, and was all hyped after, thought SummerSlam was interesting, and then Punk had his first 1on1 promo with HHH and just fell flat on his face with it so hard I quit watching.
Triple H kept trying to cut a wrestling promo and Punk just kept throwing out boring completely unrelated smarky shit about him holding people down and small guys not being pushed and totally random shit. It made Punk look like a complete dweeb and I lost all interest and I haven't watched anything on more than an extremely casual basis (mainly just big PPVs like WM or SummerSlam) since.
