Stadium probably cost 100k to rent, plus AEW only gets to keep around half the ticket sales. So you're talking 400k before taxes even kick in. They have their own security, ring setup, etc. None of that takes into account the costs of broadcasting a live PPV, where again the PPV companies take half of the revenue.
This is why WWE takes longer to sell-out, the prices are much much higher per-ticket and they sell more merch. AEW fans are more likely to buy their shit off websites or make their own. You wonder why WWE caters to kids/parents so much? Because they will impulse buy all kinds of shit, Belts, Shirts, Hats, all of the above.
We say "Record Profits" for a reason, brotha motha. AEW can and should have charged $200/head, they would have still sold it, it'd just take longer. And we'd be talking about $3 million gate instead of a pitiful $1 million.
