AEW today is doing what TNA was doing in 2006-2010. Grabbing buncha WWE leftovers. Only exception is TNA had really good storylines and unique wrestlers (even though most of them came from ROH)
I genuinely miss that era of pro-wrestling really for some reason

AEW is also doing today what TNA couldn't ever achieve at any point. Getting fans to spend actual money on tickets, PPVs, and merchandise. Only exception is when TNA had Joe vs Angle as a hot feud and set their PPV buyrate record.

Dixie’s parents didn’t let her throw money away the family’s money like Tony is doing. TNA had interesting wrestlers and storylines but the lack of commitment and treating TNA like and actual business held it back. AEW on the other hand, Tony is willing to operate at a loss. AEW is not a business to him, it’s his personal playground. TNA’s booking mixed with Tony’s unlimited funds would have been a dimes combination.

They hired people that they couldn't afford, they kept burying their original talent to put old farts over (AEW is doing it too but they are right in doing so since AEW originals were mostly shitters), WWE at the time wasn't as bad as it is right now.
