Khans own it but they don't own the wrestlers. It's clear Tony signed multiple mark contracts where he lets his stars wrestle bingohalls while on the roster.
AEW is nothing but a shell company.

It's owned by the Khans. If Warner wants to cancel it they would just be canceling its TV deal not shutting the company down like what happened with WCW. It would then be up to Tony to get a new TV or streaming deal. If WCW could have hung on for a few more years they could have at least had online only shows in the interim before getting some type of TV deal.
