WWF style in the 80s:
Big Name Matches, Big Name Gimmicks, Limited Movesets, Finisher spam, lots of squashes.
WWF style in the early 90s:
Dated Production, Dated Gimmicks, Insane in-ring wrestling, technical clinics, no one is watching it.
WWF style in the late 90s:
Edgy Production, Edgy Gimmicks, rapid alternation between bullshit squash matches and runin angles and great long technical matches that are similar to early 90s matches, but have half the big moves banned because Vince was scared of big moves after what happened to Steve Austin.
WWF during Ruthless Aggression:
Borderline deathmatch wrestling at times. Same match style as late 90s, but more blading and chair headshots. Edgy trash angles.
Modern WWF Style:
Put simply, 00s era OVW style. 3 of the biggest names of the modern era trained together under the same trainers, and their sheer prolific output working with other wrestlers has spread this style to the whole main roster. I'm talking about Cena, Orton, and Lesnar. Big moves. Set pieces. Finisher spam. Multiple finishers. Overuse of various DDTs.
