I'm not sure I'd describe any of this as a "setback" in the way he seems to be implying. Listening to him in interviews it sounds more like he had massive red flags all over the place that he ignored. I mean for one thing he talked about having massive vertigo after one of his Okada matches and then just wrestling the same way for YEARS after while ignoring it. The shoulder stuff too has apparently been a problem for a very long time. Then he said he couldnt sleep anymore either etc. He could have just gotten this stuff taken care of when it wasn't the huge problem he let it become.
