AEW is chaos and that's where it's fun/entertainment comes from, but it needs a big star to help bring some balance to it. It's a bunch of upper midcard WWE guys that all want to be the big star and the rest of AEW's homegrown talent buried underneath it all. There's too many wrestlers and despite them having no storylines to fit in more WORKRATE, everyone needs to join a faction so they can get screen time.

This image is the last known photo of the original AEW era. Cole had just arrived and seemed more like an addition to this group rather than a replacement.
