Ruby Riott basically represented AEW going down the shitter.

A mediocre womeme's worker who got a big pop because she was from the fed. She was always shit, but apparently she was misused just... because.

Big pop for the new entrance and because she's a former WWE wrestler. Then it became evident that she was actually fucking shit all along. In hindsight, the pop and focus she received were embarrassing.

But so began the trend of any and all WWE/NXT reject getting a contract with AEW, a cheap pop because "oh wow, WWE guy/girl"! only for the same realisation to occur that these people weren't that good. That's why they were not booked strong in WWE either. And of course these people are being booked to displace homegrown AEW talent.
