The attitude era was good because it wasn’t stale black and white good guys vs bad guys. Anti-heros and underdogs were in the title picture instead of stale predictable babyface Cena characters.

It was good because it was entertaining soap opera. Shit happened backstage, outside the arena, different locations. Crazy plotlines progressed throughout the show. Matches were short and sweet. You didn't have to sit through 20 minute pointless fake fight.
