I read that Hogan had to put over Lesnar and Angle and that's why he did. When he came to WWE, it wasn't like WCW where he was contractually allowed to change 100% of his finishes.

I'm still seething over Hogan tapping clean to Angle and not even getting his fucking win back. Hogan at least had Lesnar beaten and only lost by fluke from Heyman tripping him. Still would have been better to have Hulk go over and have the rematch with Rock at SummerSlam. then Hogan should have beaten Rock for the belt at SS and got his win back. instead he jobs to lesnar and never gets his win back. fuck vince

And AEW does 3-4x what TNA ppvs did because people are willing to pay to see the shows. Hogans ratings were essentially worthless you mark

aew does 3-4x what tna did because it's a cult. the ppv buys are disproportionate and unrelated to anything that's actually happening on the show. 150k buys to 900k viewers is not normal. tna were also running monthly ppvs against a stronger wwe (who still ran ppvs). on top of that they had literally zero marketing and connections. it was all word of mouth and whatever small plugs spike would give them. tony is able to pay for big advertising campaigns and he has the help of warner. wwf only did like 470k buys when they were in 7m homes
