Kana Pro "succeeded" (As an indie wrestling company that had good attendance numbers for an indie promotion but only had shows every half year on average) until the moment she got hired to WWE, though. They'd probably still be doing shows with a thousand Japs in attendance to this day if WWE didn't get her.

It's an interesting subject for me, because while I think women shouldn't have to be shamed for wanting a hard hitting intergender match, I remember in like 2016 the IWC line was "erm, so intergender matches remind you of domestic violence? well thats homophobic because domestic violence can be man on man too you CHUD". Those people were way more of annoying faggots than these people who are offended now, but you just know there's a lot of overlap between those people, just looking for something to get offended over.

I recall the kana pro shows doing around 1000+ in 2014-2015 (last couple of years before she went to the e). That is pretty competitive with the large shows from the main joshi promotions of that era (stardom, jwp, ice ribbon etc) were doing. Some, like Stardom, were able to draw that number more times a year, but for an independent show it's pretty good...
