>>6310849Every time the NFL CBA comes around, the NFLPA has to fight the owners to get roster sizes increased. It sat at 53 players for years and years and years (and years), with only 7 players being inactive each game. SEVEN! And that includes injuries, guys who are banged up or half strength, etc. And in years past, you couldn't be put on Injured Reserve and come back -- you were permanently disqualified from playing again for the rest of the year, so you couldn't just IR someone to stash them on the roster while carrying more than 53. But I digress.
There is no good reason for WWE to have 175 wrestlers on the roster but only be using 75 of them week in and week out. If they aren't AT MINIMUM wrestling house shows, at the PC multiple days per week training the new guys, etc, then there's just no reason for these people to be on the roster.
WWE isn't run per-appearance like so many other promotions. Per appearance doesn't pay the bills when they're only using you once a month at tapings. You really think these guys like Tankman or Speedball, etc, want to be doing these shitshows in front of 300 fans in a high school gym? Probably not. But you gotta pay the bills.
They all want to suckle that WWE teat and get guaranteed money, whether they're in the ring or sitting at home, and it's not gonna happen. If they aren't using you, you should ask for your release so you at least maintain some dignity that you aren't a lazy fucking leech just trying to get a last few crumbs off the table before you get your ass kicked out.
