I didn't watch wrestling until a couple of years ago but I remember zapping trough channels as a teenager and stumbling into Abyss getting betrayed by James Mitchell who brought in Mil Muertes and the two fought. I had no idea who any of them were since it was my first exposure to wrestling but its funny how I managed to recognize all of them from memories a few years after.
