Be willing to negotiate if it seems like a good opportunity, but be adamant that you will be paid. Hearing that shit boils my blood. Normalize promotors paying their talent. Any promotion worth a damn will bring you back if your work is good enough. Do you know how many times I had to ask Brett Lauderdale to pay me before he finally did? I could tell he was annoyed by it, but he brought me back anyway. And paid me much quicker the next time.
