>>6418190>>6418200heel vs heel make the best matches (and rivalries)
because that's when real charisma shines through
being pretold
>this is the good guy, you cheer for him, ok? and this gym he baaaaaad, you boo him ok?is unnatural, forced
when it's a level playing field, thats where true character and charisma emerge, and you really see who the fans like
it's better than face vs face because fans, esp jap fans, will be reluctant to be too partial even if they have a preference, because it's impolite when theyre both good guys
heel vs heel is when al the restrictions are off
and it's more real
bret-shawn 97 is one of the most memorable of all time because they were both heels and it was real
the best dome main event storytelling recently was kenny vs tana, because there was no clear good guy.
angle vs gaytch @ rr 2001 is one of the most underrated wwf title matches of all time
it makes it more real too, usually guys who are the best in their fields, literal world beaters, are never gonna be goody two shoes nice guys
look at politics too
just look at the musk vs trump mandrama
hype because theyre both heels
obama vs hillary in 08 was entertaining too, because although they both set out as babyfaces, but quickly both stooped to their true heel selves against each other, it was dirty
trump-hillary in 2016 was even more entertaining and dirty, and it was also heel vs heel albeit in a different way
and finally in terms of actual match action, it would be new and refreshing. the clash of styles would be great. you really wanna see okada-jay or okada-ospreay again so soon? they had great matches recently but i don't wanna see another big match between them for a while now.
we've seen plenty of jay-naito too (don't even get me started on jay-ibushi, although that won't happen anyway)
jay-ospreay is a big fresh exciting top level match that njpw have clearly been keeping in their pocket, making sure they don't cross paths...until a big moment?
