If you're very small but can pull off feats of agility and wild moves that others can't (or at least haven't) that would make you stand out too. Look at Rey Mysterio way back in his youth.
The point is: to actually draw, you need something that sets you apart and makes people want to pay money to see you. Atom Smol is just another small guy that does the same flips and thigh slaps that every other modern guy does. He's not a bad worker, and he's not a bad talker, but he isn't believable at either. Everyone knows he's a phone, because that's how he works, again just like most workers today, but he also looks like a nobody while doing so. He's just another guy. And if he disappeared from AEW tomorrow, you wouldn't even care. You would just move on to one of a hundred other guys on the roster that are in essence the same.
