The other problem was while he was a good worker who could have a solid match with anyone and great match with a good wrestler he wasn't the flashiest, and that became all that mattered in snark eyes by the 00s. He threw a better punch and dropkick than 90% of guys then and 99.9% of guys today. I'd take a guy who can keep the little details right and snug over muh springboard wrist clutch canadian destroyer types.
