What does NJPW and AEW excel at that WWE doesn't excel at WITHOUT saying match quality (once you've seen a buttload of 5 star matches you've seen them all)

Match quality matters in the long run for shoot-fights like UFC etc but wrestling is fake so I'm not investing dubious amounts of time watching 10 star matches when it's all choreographed anyway.

AEW has a tv show nigger just chuck on an episode for background noise, you'll see why it's more watchable than WWE.

I already tried that, JR is comfy as fuck despite alzheimers but Excalibur makes them hard to listen to in the background.

New Japan excels at presentation (Not in all aspects, for example, WWE has a lot of cool entrance shit that New Japan can't recreate), unironically has cooler long term storytelling and cooler promos (Backstage "serious" stuff is much better for wrestling than the average mic-on-mic promo you see in American wrestling), keeping kayfabe up, faction booking, just booking in general.

Don't watch AEW, don't really like it, so I can't answer on that front.

Their stories are more logical. For example, while there are rare exceptions, someone who lost a match is not going to earn a title shot right away. Most promos don't sound ridiculous with lines most humans would never say. NJPW has a superior backstage interview format.

I guess I don't take the matches super seriously or I would dissect every aspect of the match and judge it mathemitaclly. Like I said I only reserve that seriousness for shoot-fights because its all legit (pretty much)
