If you extend the category "greats" to take up the top 100 wrestlers of all time, you could maybe make an argument for CM Punk. He's good on the mic when he shows some restraint with the 4th wall breaks (although 4th wall leaning was very in vogue in the early 10s, so the "this is Phil Brooks speaking to Paul Levesque" shit was very specifically for that moment) and has a decent understanding of ring psychology. Good commentator too. His in-ring work would be solid were it not so sloppy. The guy is borderline dangerous, especially in this late stage. Merch mover and responsible for some of the best modern era feuds with the likes of Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, and MJF.
To his credit, people LIKE him. Fans REALLY like him. His supporters like him more than he is actually good, and that's essentially what wrestling is about, so give him a few points for that.
t. Married sex haver and gay, so a bitter smark rebuttal would be bigoted, which runs against your faggy morals.
