Ok you cant blame us for that one. First he was "Isaac Yankem, the royal dentist" and then he was the fake Diesel. I think us old school fans can be forgiven for thinking that Kane wouldnt be any good. We all knew it was the same guy, you could tell by the beard, the hair, and the build. Kane turned out to be pretty awesome though.

Knew Austin was dimes from the moment i saw him in WCW but like most people, i didnt realize how dimes he really was until later. The Stone Cold character was an instant hit with everyone including me. As for Vince becoming a character, i had mixed feelings about that.

There was nothing like Austin's ascension and there probably will never be anything like it again. All the office had to do was pencil him in to win King of the Ring and give him a mic. The guy had paid his dues 8-9 years bouncing around WCCW and USWA before sticking in WCW for a few years. He went to ECW, "borrowed" a few things not seen on the national stage, and got some practice on the mic.

Vince embraced his heel turn after the screw job. With his ego he probably enjoyed being even more in the spotlight.

The biggest face in the history of the business turned heel and even then kids at school were more interested in talking about Austin and seeing what he did next. We were old enough to know it was fake, but we believed Stone Cold Steve Austin was real and that's the bottom line.

Paul Levesque (real name, kind of an insider) is going to be ok, and so is everyone else. By late 2001, we will all be living in a utopia.

We're not constantly at war, all those uptight conservatives are losing their ability to constantly censor us, ppl are accepting and the govt is slowly starting to get the fuck out of our faces. Plus, wrestling is FINALLY gaining mainstream acceptance and I don't see that ever changing.

Just wait until everyone else gets on the internet with us, and expand their horizons. The world is going to keep changing for the better....and so is wrestling!

Let's all make a deal to come back here in 25 years or so....and laugh about how lucky we are to live in this world and try to remember who Hunter Hearst Helmsly even was.
