Not many Bret marks realize, but he wrestled for a long time after that kick from Goldberg. It didn't end his career. In fact, back then the docs told him he had a concussion, but he didn't want to lose his spot on the card again, so he kept wrestling doing more harm to himself than Goldberg ever did. Vince was right again:
