Funny enough everytime these two booked together it has been absolutely dimes, 1997 RAW and mid 2000s TNA were both produced by them working together.

Russo's booking has never drawn money. McMahon is the booker in WWF/E, and even he drew more money before and after Russo was there. Russo's hotshotting might pop a rating or two, but long-term, it never draws money. WCW lost money hand over fist when he was booking. So did TNA. He has admitted himself that the concept of drawing money is "old school".

Remember WCW and TNA's failures weren't Russo's fault because by his own administration (cope) he was not a booker, just a TV writer. So when it comes to booking Russo's name is irrelevant.

That is genuinely how Russo thinks. He thought the David Arquette fiasco was a success because it got some people talking. He completely ignores the fact that the PPV they were building towards tanked.

McMahon was the booker. It's not a copout, it's a fact. McMahon decided who was getting pushed and who wasn't. McMahon decided who would turn, who feuded with who, who got belts etc. The creative team would then, as they do now, write TV based on those instructions and then he'd go through it and decide what to keep/change.
