Miyuki winning would have been retarded. Her being in the finals didn't make sense in the first place, she didn't make it out of the first stage. I know it was a late replacement but someone who was in Nagisa's winner block and was on the show (SAKI, Risa, Yoneyama) would have made more sense. I'm sure the plan was for Nagisa to win the CTW and retain the belt but with her being injured Suzu winning was the right decision.

Why would Shida have any say in it? Nagisa vs Suzu was scheduled to be a Regina title match on top of being the CTW finals, I assume the original plan was for Nagisa to win and then challenge Shida. When Nagisa got injured GAMI or Ohka (I don't know who books WAVE) made the logical decision to have Suzu win.

Her 2022 has been pretty lukewarm so far and I'm not sure if that's because she changed her outlook or what, but AWG Miyuki was fucking amazing and touring freelancer Miyuki has less consistency. She's still great fun, just not "holy shit this woman is amazing" like during her title reign. The problem with the Sendai girls (even when they wrestle in other promotions) has always been their overprotection, the matches are good even if they're repetitive but before it was MEIKOWINSLOL, now (and has been for a while) CHIHIROWINSLOL and DASHWINSLOL soon it will be IWATAWINSLOL. These days Yurika Oka and the junior title/tournaments are the most interesting thing in SG.
Nobody cared about the SG vs Marvelous feud because Takumi was the only Marvelous wrestler allowed to win and she got injured so SG just destroyed Marvelous for months.

They are both made of brittle paper and unknown medical conditions. Just a few months ago Yuuki had to bail on a match because she took a forearm to the chest and couldn't breathe properly. On top of all the shit Nao has dealt with, she has a seemingly chronic condition with cerebrospinal fluid.

I think she's great because I'm looking at her value as a wrestler/entertainer, not just how many corkscrew sentons she can do. It wasn't very long before she endeared herself to crowds and impressed Tsukka enough to have a singles match with her. Her problem is being limited by these nonstop freak accidents and absences that keep her on the shelf.

You have to be trolling. I enjoyed some Mashiro matches like when she got destroyed by Arisa because it made her a sympathetic babyface and she was decent in that role. She isn't a loser anymore now she wins important matches (even if she cheats to win) so the only thing that made her endearing is gone. And unless your character is being a comedy jobber like Miyacoco the in-ring is important, just watch Mashiro vs Ibuki semi finals this was just a bad match and failed at making me root for Mashiro because Ibuki is better than her.

She simply is better in ring, as she should be with 3 years more experience, and would have provided a more believable match vs. Saori. As it was the final seemed less of a climax to a month of buildup, and more of an afterthought coronation.

She's mentioned she's exceptionally shy to the point of not liking US women coming up to her backstage at shows and being "too enthusiastic". Interesting interview. Based that seeing Oz Academy live is what got her into being a wrestler.
I wonder who the Joshi sister of her boss is.
Ohka isn’t from Nagoya and has brothers one of who died when she was young.
Can’t think of another WAVE/Oz connection. Though she does say she saw the sister several months so might of just steered her to Wave who was recruiting at the time.
Her issues as a trainee just seem like the normal stuff they hate, it’s even mentioned in the interview. She says herself a lot of it was in her own head stressing over self-imposed regulations, though Wave cared more than Stardom about in-ring work which she knew was not her strong point.
STD comes up once in that context where Rossy and Kagetsu basically told her to just be herself.
She does sort of confirm the rumors that the Stardom locker room is very business like and nobody are really close friends.
True also she didn’t see make many friends in pro wrestling and stayed in contact with nobody in pro wrestling during hiatus until a chance encounter with Takase.
That she admits getting literally piss drunk in her apartment at LEAST 3x is amazing.

From her comments in the interview she said she wanted to "retire properly" but also return to wrestling before she is 30.

Makes me wonder if she's long for staying or this is "one last run."

She seems sort of like a loner though, which is probably fans called her a bitch even though she didn't even have an in-ring character yet, she just projects being a loner probably.

I don't think it's that strange. It seems normal to be at least a little (or very) depressed during a mid-career crisis and if you're a loner, self-isolating and drinking heavily is how you're going to cope
