Great story lines are awesome and add a lot to matches, but not EVERY match needs a story. Why do basketball teams play each other if they aren't rivals? Why do UFC events happen unless it's a card full of fighters that can't stand each other? The argument is just stupid. Sometimes wrestlers can just wrestle for the sake of competition. I know you've been brainwashed into thinking that's not possible and unless there is 50/50 booking for three months that there isn't a story, but it's very much possible for wrestlers to just wrestle each other.

I agree that not every match needs some great storyline. But it's been weeks with no story for this belt. Moxley clearly in a holding pattern until All Out which is fucking boring. Btw even for random NFL and NBA matches, they build up the match up in the week before. Especially if it's a big game. This is a shot at a chance to fight for the AEW belt. It's the equivalent of a Sunday Night Football game. It's not just a random exhibition match between two bad teams. A title match should have some form of story to get you to be excited. Who knows, someone might get over if you do an angle and then you stumble upon another star.
