They could’ve brought in 10 or so people a year but they crammed in like 4-6 a month for like 9 months straight. The law of diminishing returns mixed with not realizing everyone who watched and liked the original run wasn’t some obsessed fanboy redditor.
I hadn’t watched WWE since 2013 or so and that was like one summer where we had cable, but I did start watching AEW when it debuted. So after a year or so (post Christian basically) when they started bringing in every NXT fag under the sun, CM Dumpster and all these other guys I don’t know/care about, I stopped watching every week and now I don’t watch at all.
