I think music was a big part of the ECW charm. They got shitters like Public Enemy over due to their entrance music and had faces win a lot. Everyone had a gimmick too.

It was ok. The idea that it was a showcase for lucha libre or puro or guys like Eddy and Rey is fucking bullshit. I know they were there but it was rare and in the early days. Yes you'd get an occasional Japanese match but 99% of ECW was Ball Mahoney or Sabu blowing spots. RVD was based though.

It's obvious this faggot just watched "The Rise and Fall of ECW" and no other ECW programming. All the "technical wrestlers" that Paul likes to say ECW discovered (Benoit, Jericho, Eddie, etc) we're in ECW for about 3 months total and barely wrestled for the company.

It's legit as far as I know, it uses network rips but cuts to VHS footage where the Network has altered/censored stuff and obviously has the music. It's all freeleech on XWT now I think.

I imagine TNA and ROH probably wouldn't have existed and they'd had to have dropped a lot of the risqué and hardcore stuff to stay on the air. I'm not sure ECW would've tried to compete with the Deathmatch promotions that came around after it went out of business, XPW, IWA:MS, CZW and so forth. Maybe the ROH/CZW feud mightve happened except with ECW instead of ROH.
