And, while Dave is truthful here, he's part of the reason AEW is failing because he enabled a lot of stupid shit instead of staying honest about it from the start. The things they were doing was never going to translate properly on TV and it was clear very early on. WWE is actually pretty fucking weak and getting 1.8-.9's and AEW is doing nothing to capture that. Tony signed a bloated roster of the people he already beat as well.
Punk signing was big (regardless of what people here say), but guys like Cole and shit... come fucking on. Ruby Noseho? And then booking wise, he's like afraid to say no to blatantly stupid shit. Any booker with a brain would've told Jericho to fuck off with this shit and his goth gimmick is not fucking over, but Tony let that shit get on TV.
I don't think he needs a Corny (who he seems to listen to a bit) but he needs a person there that helps him. Just one guy. Not a team, one motherfucker, while he handles the signings and shit.
