say what you like about the attitude era, but 80s wwf was all vince's vision for a family friendly entertainment show and it took wrestling to the next level. there was nothing lucky about it. yeah he had hogan, but they needed each other. hogan without the wwf is nowhere near as successful, and wwf without hogan is also nowhere near as successful. vince may not be the best when it comes to creative, but when it comes to branding and marketing he was a legit visionary in the 80s. all the merchandising, the colorful characters, wrestlemania itself, was all vince's vision. it's not enough to just have the wrestlers, awa had the wrestlers. it's about presentation and, basically, knowing how to promote. he was an amazing promoter
