Tony screwed up. He let Cody work on his gimmick on his TV doing anything he wanted. Cody saw what worked and what didn't and when Tony said I want you to turn heel, Cody hit him with a fine speech and bounced. This is probably why Tony is getting guys to sign these long ass contracts now.
