They’re entire enjoyment of wrestling revolved around complaining about storylines that “don’t make sense”. Wrestling should be big charismatic personalities feuding over personal simple issues and having wild brutal and realistic looking fights. There's nothing else to it. No, it’s to do storylines and non-wrestling segments that may build interest in certain performers/matches. Usually the match heavy shows were ppvs, now it’s tv and ppv with the same shit. And I get why they do it, smarks will not only shit on storylines for “not making sense” they’ll find some angle to get offended and try to cancel the show

"Match quality" is not unimportant but smarks want flippy midgets in the main event when they should mostly be relegated to a cruiserweight division. (Main events should resemble WALTER matches with big guys.) You still need characters/gimmicks and actual storylines though.
