Bully Ray had the need to mention that he is ECW, forgetting that he worked for other companies over the years, and to put himself over by talking about how he does things differently. Showing how extreme he is by taring up his script and doing a kind but largely boilerplate tribute speech to Ric Flair.

Shuli Egar was one of the only people there that seemed to have both genuine talent for doing roasts and deep knowledge of pro wrestling. The other that really understood what a roast is was Dan St Germain.

I just love how Conrad and his wife, Ric's daughter, were so uncomfortable with everything. They've showed them couple of times and that's it. Can't get roasted about being a fat carny fuck and marrying Flair's daughter for his personal gain.

It was LIVE. unlike every other roast on TV ever. now you see why they are never done live. Needless to say, an edited version would have been much better. as it was, it was a trainwreck that had its moments. there were no real comedians and nobody was really writing their own material so it really can't compare to the major roasts of the past (Dean Martin, Comedy Central). for a wrestling related roast, it was pretty good. the Jim Cornette roast had the benefit of having Jim Cornette who is much wittier and funnier than anyone who spoke at the Flair roast.

My favourite part was when the one dude was going through everybody on the stage one at a time and burning them, then got to one guy and just goes "He fucks children."
