There's a lot fewer really big matches because all the faction leaders are in seperate blocks, and even though a lot of the matches end up surprising me there's a lot of matches that just aren't that easy to get excited about. Maybe Naito's victory feels so obvious this year compared to the different possibilities of last year that despite having Jay and Ospreay back it all feels more predictable. I'm still annoyed that Filthy Tom is stuck in the monster block when he should be fighting grapplers like ZSJ and GOK.
All that said, I'm having a good time. Even though the cards aren't always that appealing there's always matches that surprise me and its great seeing Finlay and to a lesser extent Henare really come into their own. TMDK and Team Filthy have definitely been a major positive addition just in terms of fresh matchups in the undercard; I'm excited for more fresh guys on the shows in the future.
